| Multi-parameter analysis of cells and particles |
| The combination of electrical surface charge with density, size, and shape of cells and particles offers new potential fields of application in colloid chemistry, biological research and clinical medicine such as the detection of small changes in small portions of cells and volume/density/surface charge relation of cells in hematological diseases. |
| The figures demonstrate alterations in a cell mixture prepared from the peritoneal dialysate of a patient in the cause of peritonitis (left side acute state and right side after treatment; 1 - erythrocytes, 2 - granulocytes, 3 - macrophages, 4 - lymphocytes). These measurements were carryed out in co-operation with Dr. Korten / Division of Nephrology of the Clinic of Internal Medicine. |
